Illuminare le storie

Il set fotografico di "I light U" è installato proprio alla fine del corridoio che collega la stazione di Porta Venezia della linea 1 della metropolitana al Passante ferroviario. Ci sono le luci, le macchine fotografiche, la gente si ferma, qualcuno accetta di farsi fotografare e mentre il fotografo scatta, inizia a raccontare il suo viaggio: arrivo dal lavoro, sì lavoro in uno studio legale ma mi annoio e di sera faccio l'attore in una compagnia, è quello il mio sogno; io lavoro in un negozio di articoli di bellezza, io faccio i mercatini con gli anelli e i bracciali tradizionali che produco a casa e sto tornando ora da Brescia, io invece arrivo da casa, sai abitiamo in quattro, siamo tutti studenti fuori sede e ora sto andando a fare ripetizione a un bambino bravissimo ma sempre solo così gli faccio da baby-sitter, io sto andando a fare shopping, io a seguire una lezione di design, vengo dalla Cina e voglio diventare stilista, io invece aspetto i miei nipoti: li ho portati qui perché preparano una coreografia di ballo per Natale; ballano tutti i sabato nei corridoi della metropolitana assieme ad altri ragazzi filippini. 
E mentre ognuno si racconta, i fili dei percorsi si disegnano su una mappa immaginaria e infinita.


Enlighten the stories
The photo shoot of "I light U" is placed at the very end of the corridor that connects the Porta Venezia Station, Line 1 of the underground, to the Passante railroad. There are the lights, the cameras, the people stop, someone agrees to be photographed and while the photographer shoots, he starts telling his journey: I come from work, yep I work in a law firm but it’s boring and in the evening I play as an actor in a acting company, that is my dream; I work in a cosmetics shop; I work at street markets selling traditional rings and bracelets that I produce at home and I am now returning from Brescia; I come from home, you know, there are four of us, we all are resident students... now I'm going to tutoring a very good child always alone, so I use to babysit; I'm going shopping; I am going to follow a design class, I come from China and I want to be a fashion designer; I’m waiting for my grandchildren: I brought them here here because they are getting ready for a Christmas dance choreography, they dance every Saturday in the subway corridors all together with other Filipinos.
And while everyone tells his story, the threads of their paths draw on an imaginary and infinite map.
