Andres

Mi chiamo Andres, arrivo da corso Buenos Aires e sto andando da Sephora in piazza Duomo. Studio Product Design all’Accademia di Brera e lavoro per una storica società di design che produce mobili. Sono originario di Guayaquil, Ecuador, dove ho vissuto fino a 15 anni. Adesso vivo a Locate Triulzi. Dell’Ecuador mi mancano i miei parenti mentre di Milano non so cosa mi piaccia. Mi ci sono abituato. Dicono che assomiglio a Vincent Gallo.

I am Andres and I came from corso Buenos Aires. I am going to Sephora’s in Duomo Square. I study Product design at Brera Academy ad I work for a historic design firm, which manufactures furniture. I come from Guayaquil, Ecuador, where I lived until I was 15 years old. Now I live in Locate Triulzi. I miss my relatives, who live in Ecuador and I am not sure about what I like about Milan. I am used to the city. People say that I look like Vincent Gallo.

Andrea

Mi chiamo Andrea, ho 21 anni e sono nata in Ecuador. Sto andando a prendere il Passante ferroviario per tornare a Milano Certosa dove abito con mia madre. Io sono in Italia da 5 anni, mia madre da 15. Parte della mia famiglia è rimasta in Ecuador: un fratello, una sorella e tre nipoti; non ci vediamo da due anni ma ci sentiamo per telefono o con WhatsApp. Io non posso tornare là, non ho molto tempo e il biglietto dell'aereo è costoso. Ora arrivo da Precotto dove faccio la baby-sitter di una bambina di 2 anni e mezzo, me ne occupo da quando aveva sei mesi. Mi piace il mio lavoro.

My name is Andrea, 21 years old, I was born in Ecuador. I take the underground direction Milano Certosa where I live with my mother. I’m in Italy for 5 years, my mother for 15. Part of my family stayed in Ecuador: my brother live there, with my sister and 3 grandchildren. I didn’t meet them for 2 years, but we talk and read  via phone or WhatsApp. I can’t go to Sout America, I don’t have time and the ticket plane is expensive. I’m coming from Precotto where I work as baby sitter of a 2-year old little girl. I take care of her since she was 6 months old. I like my job.

Susana

Mi chiamo Susana, ho 40 anni e sono originaria di Quito, in Ecuador. Arrivo ora da Milano Certosa, sono andata a trovare un’amica; adesso prendo il tram per andare all’Ortica, abito lì. Lavoro in viale Piave come baby sitter, mi occupo di due bambini di 10 e 5 anni. Ho una figlia di 20 anni che studia economia aziendale a Pavia, è al terzo anno, l’ultimo: spera di trovare lavoro quando avrà finito. Lei vive a Pavia assieme al resto della famiglia. Prima di trasferirmi a Milano anche io abitavo a Pavia.

I’m Susana 40 years old, from Quito, Ecuador. I’m coming from Milano Certosa, where I met a friend of mine. Now I’m taking the bus to Ortica district, where I live. I work in viale Piave as baby sitter of two children, 10 and 5 years old. I have a 20-years old daughter, she’s studying  Business Administration at Pavia University, third and last year, she hopes to find job after the degree. She’s living in Pavia with the rest of the family. Before moving to Milan, I also in Pavia.
