Mi chiamo Luigi, di anni 87. Ho appena accompagnato una mia amica al Passante, adesso sto andando in piazza Duomo. Sono nato a Milano una vita fa. Ma non ho mica fatto la guerra, quando è scoppiata avevo dieci anni, andavo dai Martinit, sentivo le bombe cadere. Di lavoro ho sempre fatto il disegnatore d’impiantistica, usavo il tecnigrafo. Fortunatamente quando è arrivato il computer sono andato in pensione. Le feste di Natale le passo con gli amici.

Però settimana scorsa c’è stata un’altra riunione all’Università Statale ed è venuta molta gente. Io abito a Pioltello con mio padre e ora sto tornando a casa. Sono all’ultimo anno di liceo, sto leggendo il “Che fare” di Lenin.

But last week another meeting has been held at the State University and a lot of people came. I live in Pioltello with my father and now I'm coming home. This is the last year of high school. Giusi

Mi chiamo Giusi e abito in Bicocca, in un appartamento in affitto assieme ad altre quattro persone. Siamo tutti studenti fuori sede: io vengo da Avellino anche se sono nata a Stoccarda e tra pochi mesi prenderò la laurea in Mediazione linguistica. Ora arrivo da casa e sto andando a Precotto a fare ripetizioni a un bambino. In realtà lui va benissimo a scuola, ma i suoi genitori non sono mai a casa, per cui metà del tempo lo passo a fare la babysitter.

My name is Giusi and I was passing by here coming from home, at Bicocca. I live in a rented apartment with four other people. We are all resident students, I come from Avellino although I was born in Stuttgart and in a few months I will take a degree in linguistic mediation. Now I'm going to Precotto for tutoring to a child. He is good at school, but his parents are never home, so I spend half of the time babysitting.

Mi chiamo Melania, abito a Napoli e sono venuta a Milano per trovare i miei amici. Siamo un gruppo di amici napoletani appassionati di moda. Questa sera andiamo tutti alla discoteca Plastic, dove c’è uno show di drag queen ideato da Davide, Daniele si occuperà del trucco. Milano è una bella città, ma Londra, Parigi e New York, offrono delle opportunità interessanti che vorremmo sperimentare. I sono una fashion designer e mi occupo di abbigliamento vintage, lavoro per un negozio di vendita all’ingrosso di abiti vintage. Vengo spesso a Milano per eventi collegati al mondo della moda. My name is Melania and I live in Naples. I came to Milan to visit friends. We are a group of friends from Naples, who are passionate about fashion. Tonight we are all going to the Plastic night club, they have a drag queen show on. The show was conceived by Davide and Daniele will be the make-up artist. Io sono originaria di Belgrado, in Serbia e vivo a Milano dal 2008. Fin da piccola sono stata appassionata di moda, mi piaceva tutto ciò che ha a che fare con la bellezza. Da ragazza dipingevo. Non ho studiato da stilista perché pensavo di non essere dotata, così mi sono laureata in Economia e Marketing. Il mio stilista preferito è Boris Bidjan Saberi.

My name is Mimì and I work as a sales assistant at Dantone Daad’s shop. I have just been to a fashion catwalk in corso Buenos Aires with Alessandro. I am from Belgrade, in Serbia and I moved to Italy in 2008. I have been fond of fashion since I was a child. I have always been attracted by beauty and the things that orbit around this industry. When I was young I used to paint. I did not attend a fashion school because I did not think I had talents, so I studied Economics and Marketing. My favorite stylist is Boris Bidjan Saberi.

Mi chiamo Alessandro e sono appena stato con Mimì a una sfilata di moda in corso Buenos Aires. Sono originario della provincia di Cagliari e sono a Milano dal 1993. Mi sono diplomato all’Istituto di Moda Marangoni: ho fatto due anni in più di militare per potermelo pagare. Ho scelto la Moda perché erano gli anni 90, Milano era il centro mondiale della Moda. Ci lavoro ormai da vent'anni, ora sono nel negozio di Dantone Daad: mi piace perché fa da incubatore di giovani stilisti che diventeranno famosi. Oggi questo settore sta diventando sempre più industriale, noi invece cerchiamo di recuperare l’artigianalità del prodotto, anche se i costi sono più alti.

Mi chiamo Sofia, ho 23 anni e sono originaria di Cuneo, vivo a Milano da quattro anni per motivi di studio. Frequento architettura al quinto anno magistrale. Ora sto arrivando da Piola, vivo lì in un appartamento con due coinquilini e sto andando alla Rinascente di piazza Duomo dove lavoro part time sabato, domenica e lunedì. Sono commessa di Max Mara, faccio sei ore per tre giorni. Max Mara dà ai suoi dipendenti la divisa e le scarpe, io devo stare in piedi sei ore e alla fine mi fanno male i piedi. Alla fine dell’università vorrei rimanere a Milano a lavorare come architetto.

My name is Sofia, I'm 23 years old and I grew up in Cuneo and I live in Milan for four years to study reasons. I attend the fifth year at Architecture course of study. Now I'm coming from Piola, I live there in an apartment with two roommates and I am going to the Rinascente in Duomo square, where I have a part-time job on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. I work six hours per day as a clerk at Max Mara. Max Mara gives its employees the uniform and the shoes, I have to stand six hours and at the end of the day my feet hurt. At the end of the university I would like to stay in Milan to work as an architect.

Mi chiamo Andrea, sono arrivato a Milano ieri sera dalla Svizzera e stanotte ho alloggiato in un albergo in piazza Loreto. Ora sto andando a Garbagnate milanese al matrimonio del mio migliore amico. È un amico d’infanzia, siamo cresciuti assieme a Garbagnate. Io però dal 2015 vivo in Svizzera, nel Canton Vallese e sto per prendere la residenza lì. Lavoro alla reception in una clinica e faccio anche lo chaffeur: accompagno a casa i pazienti. Gli svizzeri sono un po’ chiusi e conservatori, molta montagna, molta natura ma poca vita sociale. La giacca? Mi va un po’ stretta, l’ho presa su Internet.

My name is Andrea, I arrived in Milan last night from Switzerland and I stayed at a hotel in piazza Loreto. Now I'm going to Garbagnate Milanese to My Best Friend's Wedding. He is a childhood friend; we grew up together in Garbagnate. But I live in Switzerland since 2015, in the Canton of Valais, and I am going to take up residence there. I work at the reception in a clinic and I also do the chauffeur: I accompany patients at home. Swiss people are a bit closed and conservative, a lot of mountains, lots of nature but little social life. The jacket is a bit tight, I got it on the Internet.

Mi chiamo Sara, arrivo da porta Romana e sto andando in piazzale Loreto con la mia amica Giulia. Vivo a Milano con due coinquiline e lavoro negli uffici di Prada. Sono appassionata di moda, seguo l’ufficio stile per Miu Miu, anche la mia borsa è di Miu Miu. Il 23 inizierò le vacanze natalizie, prima andrò a Varese dai miei genitori, poi ad Aix-en-Provence a trovare un mio amico.

I'm Sara, I'm coming from porta Romana and I am going in Piazzale Loreto with my friend Giulia. I live in Milan with two roommates and I work in Prada offices. I am fund about fashion, I follow the design office for Miu Miu, also my bag is by Miu Miu. On 23rd of December I will begin the Christmas Holidays: I will go to Varese to visit my parents and then to Aix-en-Provence to meet a friend of mine.

Gabriele

Mi chiamo Gabriele, arrivo da Laveno e sto andando a porta Venezia con la mia amica Vania che ha fame e vuole un panino. Milano non mi piace Milano perché è troppo caotica. Tra due settimane andrò a vivere in montagna, in Val Grande a gestire un ostello. Adoro la montagna perché sono un tipo meditativo e mi piace andare in alto. Suonavo il violino, ora mi piace la musica elettronica trance. Faccio video musicali di pesca e di montagna su basi elettroniche, potete cercarmi su Youtube: i video si chiamano “Attraverso la montagna” e “Terra ed acqua”. Ho anche vinto un campionato di pesca con la mosca a san Bernardino.

I am Gabriele and I am comig from Laveno. I am going to porta Venezia with a friend of mine, Vania, who is hungry and needs a sandwich. I do not like Milan, it is too chaotic. In two weeks time I will go to live in the mountains in Val Grande, I will be running a hostel. I love the mountains because I am a thoughtful sort of guy and I like going to the top. I used to play violin, now I like electronic music. I make musical fishing videos and mountain videos with electronic music soundtracks. You can look me up on Youtube. Mi chiamo Vania, arrivo da Porta Garibaldi e sto andando in Porta Venezia, sono a digiuno e voglio un panino. Vivo a Milano e da due settimane faccio la ballerina di lap dance al Blue Eyes. Intrattengo le persone. A loro piace parlare con me, si confidano e io le faccio stare bene. Ma non c’è prostituzione, forse fuori dal locale, non so. Mi piace molto la musica, suonavo la tastiera e la chitarra e mi sarebbe piaciuto imparare la batteria. Adesso scappo, devo trovare un panino da 5 euro.

Mi chiamo Maria Giovanna, sto arrivando ora dal commissariato di viale Regina Giovanna dove ho denunciato il furto del mio cellulare. Ero in un bar in Bovisa con i miei compagni, stavamo lavorando a un progetto e mi sono accorta che non avevo più il cellulare. Era un Huawei comprato su internet, ho provato a fare il numero ma risultava irraggiungibile, spero di ritrovarlo. Io studio Design degli interni, sono al terzo anno, non ho ancora deciso cosa fare dopo. Ho scelto questa facoltà per fare qualcosa che facesse la differenza.

My name is Maria Giovanna, I'm coming from the police station of viale Regina Giovanna, where I reported the theft of the mobile phone. I was in the bar, working on a project with my fellow students, when suddenly I didn't find my phone. It was Huawei brand bought on line, I dialed the number but it was unreachable, I hope to find it. I'm studying Internal Design, third year, I don't know what to do after the degree. I chose this school because I want to create something new.

Mi chiamo Maurice, vengo da porta Venezia e sto andando in piazzale Loreto dove abita una mia amica che ha cambiato casa da poco. Le sto portando le orchidee bianche: portano fortuna. Mia madre è egiziana, mio padre olandese, ma io sono nato in Italia. Ho una ditta farmaceutica che si occupa di prodotti generici. Di Milano non piace il rumore e la movida.

I’m Maurice, I'm coming from Porta Venezia toward piazza Loreto where a friend of mine has moved to her new home: I'm bringing her these orchids to wish good luck. My mother is Egyptian and my father Dutch but I was born in Italy where I own a Pharmaceutical company. I don't like the noise and the movida of Milan.

Mi chiamo Gianluca, arrivo da Monza e sto andando in porta Venezia. Lavoro come informatico, sono di Roma e da un anno vivo a Milano con la mia compagna e i suoi figli. Mi sono laureato in informatica a Turk, in Finlandia. Ci ho vissuto per 10 anni, finita l’università avevo già il contratto firmato, ma con la crisi me l’hanno stracciato e sono tornato in Italia. Mi piace Milano perché è una città europea, penso di fermarmi qui.

My name is Gianluca, I'm coming from Monza to porta Venezia. I work as IT expert. I was born in Roma and I'm in Milan, for one year, where I live with my girlfriend and her children. I got my degree in IT at the Turk University in Finland. Sono originaria di Reggio Emilia, dove abita ancora la mia famiglia: ho due fratelli maschi più giovani di me, hanno 25 e 19 anni, mentre io ne ho 27. Il primo anno ho fatto avanti e indietro da Reggio Emilia, poi da quattro anni abito qui a Milano A parte tre mesi a Londra a divertirmi. Ora sto andando a casa, abito a porta Venezia con il mio fidanzato, che è tedesco.

My name is Veronica, I'm coming from Quarto Oggiaro where I work as trade marketing assistance trainee at Henkel Company. I do customers data analysis. I have a degree in Industrial engineering with a Master in marketing. I live in Milan for 4 years, even if at the beginning I commuted every day from Reggio Emilia where I was born. Sono appassionato di musica rock, dagli anni '70 ai giorni nostri. Colleziono i dischi in vinile perché mi piacciono come oggetti e mi piacciono le copertine; li ascolto col vecchio giradischi dei miei genitori. È molto bello e funziona meglio di quelli contemporanei. Di lavoro faccio il programmatore Cobol e sviluppo prodotti per il mondo bancario e assicurativo.

I am keen on rock music from the seventies until now: I’m a collector of vinyl record, I like the object itself and the cover design too. I play the record with my parents' old deck. Remigio

Mi chiamo Remigio, ho 73 anni, arrivo da piazzale Loreto e sto andando a prendere il treno per tornare a Zinasco, in provincia di Pavia, dove abito. Sono venuto a Milano solo per fare un giro, ci vengo quasi ogni giorno perché collaboro con un CAF per tenermi attivo. Sono andato in pensione a 65 anni, prima facevo il commercialista. Ho due figli ormai grandi e due nipoti di 17 e 15 anni che fanno le scuole superiori e tutta la famiglia abita nello stesso paesino.

My name is Remigio, 73 years old, I’m coming from piazzale Loreto to the station to take the train and go back Zinasco, close to Pavia where I live. I come to Milano almost every day because I work as volunteer for a Support Fiscal Center. I worked as fiscal expert, now I’m retired. Mi chiamo Alessandro, arrivo da via Ripamonti con i mezzi pubblici, sto facendo una passeggiata fotografica per corso Buenos Aires fino ad arrivare in Duomo. Sono uno street photographer, di solito esco con un gruppo per fotografare, anche se non abbiamo un progetto comune. Stiamo pensando di realizzare una mostra fotografica. Ho tempo di fotografare solo il sabato pomeriggio.

Ora sto andando da un mio amico in zona Pasteur, devo aiutarlo per un’esame universitario: sta preparando l’esame di modellazione 3d. Anche io ho studiato design al Politecnico, ora sono laureata e sto facendo uno stage in uno studio che fa design industriale. Sono originaria della Toscana e sono venuta a Milano per studiare. Adesso sto facendo un anno di praticantato per capire cosa voglio fare: il settore del design è ampio e devo capire cosa mi piace davvero.

My name is Victoria, I'm coming from Pavé bar in via Felice Casati, I was there with friends. Now I'm going to a friend's place in Pasteur area, I have to help him for a university test: he is stdying 3D modeling. I have studied design too, at the Politecnico, now I'm graduated and I am doing an internship in a firm that does industrial design. TI am from Tuscany and I came to Milan to study. Now I'm doing a one-year apprenticeship to understand what I want to do in the future: the design sector is large and I have to figure out what I really like.
