Il progetto

Un tunnel sotterraneo nel Passante ferroviario di Porta Venezia, a Milano: le persone passano in continuazione, ognuna proviene da un punto e va in un altro punto su una linea che ogni volta collega lavori, amori, doveri, desideri, divertimento, amicizie, impegni e mille altre cose. Infiniti punti, infinite linee: un tessuto sterminato che non si può calcolare, si può solo immaginare, anzi si può riassumere per immagini. 
"I light U - Frames for underground stories" costruisce uno di questi possibili riassunti: nell'arco di alcune settimane, tra dicembre 2016 e febbraio 2017, chiediamo alle persone che passano in quel punto di fermarsi e di raccontare il percorso che stanno facendo, di spiegare cosa c'è a un capo e all'altro di quella linea che stanno percorrendo e di lasciarci un'immagine, un ritratto fotografico. Poi ognuno riprende il suo viaggio: ma in quel punto della stazione resterà la mappa dei percorsi e la collezione delle storie e dei ritratti che sono stati illuminati in quel momento.


An underground tunnel in the bypass Passante di Porta Venezia, in Milan: people come and go all the time, each of them is coming from a point and goes to another point on a line that connects jobs, loves, duties, wishes, fun, friendships, commitments and a thousand of other things. Infinite points, infinite lines: an endless fabric that cannot be calculated, you can only imagine, or you can summarize it with pictures.
"I light U - Frames for underground stories" builds one of these possible summary: within the time frame of a few weeks, between December 2016 and February 2017, we ask people passing by to stop and tell the path they are on, to explain what's at both ends of that line; then we ask them to leave an image, a photographic portrait. Afterward, each of them resumes his journey: but at that point, at the bypass, there will be the map of all the routes and the collection of all the stories and portraits that were lit at the time.
